Burqueño

What a resident of Albuquerque is called, from the local short form “Burque”.

Residents of the city are called Burqueños (masculine) or Burqueñas (feminine), or more rarely simply Albuquerqueans. The Spanish forms come from Chicano slang, and Burqueño is also used as an adjective for anything to do with the city. Burqueños often speak New Mexican Spanish and Western American English.
