ABQ BioPark

The city’s zoo, aquarium, botanic garden and Tingley Beach, run together as one environmental museum.

The ABQ BioPark has four parts: the Zoo (64 acres, over 250 species), the Aquarium (with a 285,000-gallon ocean tank), the Botanic Garden (36 acres, with a glass conservatory) and Tingley Beach, a fishing and model-boating area built in the 1930s by diverting Rio Grande water. Together they see about 1.5 million visitors a year. The Botanic Garden hosts the River of Lights holiday show.
