Nob Hill

The Route 66 shopping and dining district along Central Avenue just east of the University of New Mexico.

Nob Hill grew up in the 1920s to 1950s along Central Avenue and takes its name from San Francisco’s Nob Hill, borrowed in 1916 by the developer D.K.B. Sellers. It has mostly locally owned shops, galleries, bars and restaurants and Route 66 neon, and its Nob Hill Business Center (1947) was the city’s first modern shopping center.
