Quadrants (NE, NW, SE, SW)

The four parts of the city that are written into every Albuquerque address.

Albuquerque is divided into Northeast, Northwest, Southeast and Southwest quadrants, and the letters come after the street name in a mailing address. Central Avenue is the north-south dividing line and the railroad tracks are the east-west one. Many people also use I-25 and I-40 as informal quadrant lines.
